Vessel:
'Inspired by lengthy seaside stints somewhere along Australia’s Great Ocean Road, In Omelas weaves its way from immersive, euphoric and rhythmically charged works to the melodic and subtle side of dub and restrained techno. The immediate, sometimes frantic rhythm of the A side cut, 'Standing On A Whale', draws you forward while surrounding a dense atmosphere with a chord progression that feels like the climax of a relentless journey. On the flip, ‘Trail Dub’ draws on classic dub techno form while still remaining fresh and absorbing. Closing out the record, ‘Dose’ takes you out to sea and leaves you floating in waves of thick chords and skittering percussion, revealing a funked out bassline for the patient ones. Miris injects a drummer’s finesse and human timing into the arena of machine generated sound and humming electronics. Equally formidable for the adventurous DJ as for contemplative home listening, Vessel is proud to present ‘In Omelas’ as the debut EP from Melbourne’s Miris.'

Copies of the 12" vinyl sold via bandcamp come in a hand printed linograph sleeve each with a random insert of thought.
